Podiatry

Podiatry is a form of medicine devoted to the study, diagnosis, and treatment of disorders of the foot, ankle, and lower leg.

Podiatry - Podiatry Northern Ireland - Caroline Spencer

Patients can come to the Podiatry NI complaining of anything from foot, heel and ankle pain to pains in your shin, calf, knee, hips and back as well as general foot problems such as ingrown toe nails, corns and verrucae.

By looking at the way certain joints and muscles function the Podiatrists at Podiatry NI are able to determine if the way you are walking (biomechanics) may be contributing to a current injury or may cause an injury in the future. All patients are assessed walking, standing and if applicable running with slow motion video gait analysis by the Podiatrist to visualize their individual gait / running pattern. A foot pressure plate is also available for further dynamic measurements.
