Orthosis

There are two types of Orthoses that are used by Podiatrists, and Podiatry NI can offer them to you.

Orthosis - Podiatry Northern Ireland - Caroline Spencer

A semi-customised appliance, which is partly pre-made and partly customised to the patient’s individual requirements and can be used for children / young adults who are still growing or initially for trying out orthoses.

A fully customised foot orthotic utilising advanced computerised engineering processes. These devices are ultra thin, last many years and maintain their corrective effect extremely well.

Orthoses vary in price, with option two, the advanced appliance, costing more as they have a life time guarantee to shell breakage. The top covers of the orthoses can require renewal every couple of years or so but this is a relatively inexpensive process.
